'A fresh and powerful version of Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard .
In The Cherry Orchard , aristocratic Ranyevskaya returns after years of self-imposed exile in Paris following a tragedy at her ancestral estate. After years of neglect the house and land, including her beloved cherry orchard, are about to be auctioned to pay the family debts. Her dynamic but lower class neighbour Lopakhin has a solution, but will Ranyevskaya take his advice? Love clashes with class loyalties and tradition with progress in this fast-paced play regarded by many as the foundation of modern drama.'
